Enjoy twice-daily guided wilderness safaris shared with other guests. These may include airboat safaris, open-top safari drives, crocodile spotting river cruises, guided wilderness walks and more. Much like being on safari in Africa, guided activities cannot be guaranteed in advance, and a varied activity program will be curated and communicated with you when you arrive, according to local conditions and optimising wildlife viewing opportunities.

Getting to Bamurru Plains is part of the adventure. The camp is accessible from Darwin or Kakadu via scenic overland transfers or spectacular private flights. Most guests arrive by air, landing at the all-weather Swim Creek Airstrip just 20 minutes from camp. Whether by 4WD along red dirt roads or soaring over floodplains, every journey offers a thrilling introduction to the Top End’s wild and remote beauty.

Bamurru Plains acknowledges the deep history and culture of this land, and we pay our respects to all Mary River, Kakadu and Arnhem Land Aboriginal Communities and Traditional Custodians as the original and ongoing caretakers to land, sea and community.
