Eco Certification

Orpheus Island Resort is committed to sustainability in all aspects of its operations. To minimize waste, the resort provides reusable drink bottles and keep cups, has removed single-use plastics in-room amenities, and uses eWater instead of harsh cleaning chemicals. The resort also works to eradicate harmful species and replant lost plant species, and hosts Deep Dive, an annual event to share best practices in reef preservation.

To reduce its environmental impact, Orpheus Island Resort is primarily solar-powered, recycles and diverts food waste, and uses a water treatment plant to recycle water for irrigation. The resort also offsets the carbon emissions of helicopter flights to the island and works with local suppliers to source local, organic, free range, fair trade, biodynamic, and sustainably-farmed produce and products.
