I would not change even one day of our itinerary, it was that perfect. Every detail was carefully planned and tailored to enable us to experience the most in our two weeks. We were provided all of the documents needed for hotels, transportation, meals, excursions and tours. There was never a time when someone questioned a reservation. We were always expected. This was a bucket list trip for us and it far exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend First Light Travel Group and especially Heidi Gillingham.

We planned a driving holiday in Tasmania, and Sarah Pollard organised a terrific itinerary for us. The accommodation was first‑class, and the attractions were spectacular — especially the Gordon River cruise, Cradle Mountain, and the scenic drive along Tasmania’s sublime east coast. I would recommend the team and Sarah without hesitation.

First Light Travel Group did an outstanding job helping us plan our trip to Australia. They really listened to us when we described what we wanted to see, what we were not interested in seeing, and how we wanted to travel (such as preferring small groups, walks but not long hikes, etc.). A trip highlight was the Daintree and Mossman Gorge day trip, Taronga Zoo was outstanding and we loved the Great Barrier Reef cruise and snorkeling. The detailed itinerary was well organized and easy to follow, without being cumbersome. Every detail of the accommodations, flights, day trips and ground transportation worked smoothly. We would highly recommend working with First Light Travel Group.

We completed a self drive 3 week tour from Perth to Esperance and return. Accommodation was excellent, tours booked on our behalf amazing and the places we visited were beautiful. Some of the best beaches I have ever seen, with crystal clear water and the whitest sands. Exceptional itinerary and we saw the best the south coast of WA could offer. Highly recommend!

We just finished our trip through First Light Travel Group, from Darwin to Broom self drive and what an experience that was - it was excellent. From our accommodation to day trips and plane trips. There were no hiccups, everything went smoothly. Would highly recommend this to everyone. A big thank you to the team for organizing our trip, everyone had an excellent experience.

First Light Travel was hands down the best company that I have ever worked with! They were so accommodating to every email. They called me several times on their dime just to get to know me and my holiday desires better. They worked with me countless hours to develop the perfect itinerary. Their services didn't cost us a penny! They even mailed us our itineraries in addition to emailing them and had a bag of maps for us at our accommodation in case our GPS didn't work. If you are going to Australia or New Zealand, and you don't use First Light Travel, you are nuts.

My husband and I celebrated our 20 year wedding anniversary with a trip to the top end. We will hold such fantastic memories from this trip forever! Everything that was planned for us was perfect for the kind of trip we enjoy. We love our independence and prefer to travel that way, and our custom designed trip was based on our preferences.

We enjoy adventure and also some downtime, and felt we had such a great balance of both. It made for a seamless trip, their communication was top notch! I always received a prompt response to any queries I had.

An exciting trip that opened our eyes to the beauty of Australia’s north. Perfect for our needs, independent driving and sightseeing tours by helicopter/plane/boat. Well organised. We didn’t want to leave! So many highlights. The balmy nights in Darwin, perfect for dinner out. Warm winter days to explore the area by scooters! The aviation museum was fabulous.

Katherine had so much natural beauty. Cruising through Nitmiluk George learning about the area and it’s history, the place is magical.
We walked to Edith falls later in the day for the most stunning views and a swim. Kununurra with Lake Argyle and the Bungle Bungles was a stunning place to fly over. Our pilot had so much knowledge and personality, a real treat. A sunset cruise and some kayaking on Lake Argyle made magic memories. Broome was sensational, the beauty of the beaches, sunsets, and the flight over the horizontal falls were an absolute highlight too. A taster trip, we will be back to explore more!

Oh my goodness we had the most amazing honeymoon! Everything was so well planned and went very smoothly. Tassie was absolutely beautiful.
Our favourite moments were hiking the horse track across to crater peak and Marions lookout at cradle mountain and enjoying a wine by the fire at Peppers. There were so many animals to see there which made it so exciting. Another highlight was the cruise at Freycinet. The lunch and drinks were amazing and we saw so many seals! Our accommodation at Freycinet was astonishing! The spa bath and the beach views were unforgettable.
We really loved the wine tour at Tamar Valley and the food adventures at Bruny island. The wine and oysters in Tassie were so so good. I think we had both of those everyday for the entire two weeks. We also enjoyed St Helens was a nice little town that had character and things to do. The bay of fires rocks are so beautiful.
