A short drive from Esperance and famous for its beach dwelling kangaroos, blindingly white sandy beaches and calm turquoise ocean, Cape Le Grand National Park is one of Australia’s most iconic national parks.
Spend the day soaking up the serenity, including meeting the iconic kangaroos at Lucky Bay, having a swim, and taking an inspiring coastal walk. Awaiting you will be a gourmet barbecue feast of local produce which you will enjoy with breathtaking views over Little Hellfire Bay.

Choose an in-room or restaurant breakfast, care of Lamont’s, before heading north to Mandurah for your 10 am departure on the unique Wild Seafood Experience. Board the Reel Affair II, a purpose-built cray fishing vessel where you can pull baited crayfish pots and learn about Western Australia’s crayfish conservation efforts. Albany is a port city on the south coast of Western Australia, 400 km |248.5 mi south of Perth. It is situated on Princess Royal Harbour, a natural inlet of the Southern Ocean, 5 km | 3 mi east-west and 3 km | 1.8 mi north-south. It’s about a 4.5-hour drive from Perth and less than an hour by air. It offers visitors cooler summers and mild winters.
Stunning harbour views from Mt Melville and Mt Clarence are often enhanced by dolphins and seals and, between July and October, humpback and southern right whales.
The area surrounding Albany is rich in natural beauty. Although the area is named after this town, it spreads all the way along the coast from a few kilometres south of Busselton, out to Cape Naturaliste and the spreads over an area about 30km-wide down the south coast to Cape Leeuwin, Australia’s most southwestern point.
